When you book a charter with me, You can expect that I have done my homework to ensure that you have a safe, fun, and successful day on the water, and that I have put forth all my effort in finding our target species. You will learn important details about fishing that will stay with you long after you return home. You should know that my vessel is always properly maintained and clean, and that all of my tackle and other equipment is in top working order.
“I like to fish and share fishing with my clients”
All rods, reels, and licenses are provided. If you should decide to bring your own rod, please let me know before the day of the charter. Live bait is also included. You should bring a hat, polarized sunglasses, and whatever you want to eat and drink. I strongly recommend you bring plenty of water or sports drinks. A large cooler with ice will be on the boat.
Even in the winter it can get hot when the boat is not moving, so I suggest dressing in light layers. Rain gear is also recommended even if rain is not expected because if those winter winds kick up you will likely get splashed, ( I don’t care what the manufacturer says about a “dry ride”). Don’t forget your camera, most of the trophy size species that you catch inshore must be released.
My name is Mike Gulick, I am a Florida
native who has fished these local waters
since the age of 5. My earliest fishing
trips began in freshwater lakes of Central
Florida with my Dad and Grandfather,
targeting mostly specks and bass. Dad
introduced me to saltwater fishing when
I was 13, and after many trips with him and
my Uncle, I developed a desire to fish that
could not be fulfilled on weekends alone.
So, eventually I moved from Orlando to
Brevard County so that I could be on the
wateras much as possible. Ultimately, this
led to my career of guiding others in this
amazing, year-round fishery that Florida’s
Indian River Lagoon system and ocean
waters has to offer.
I also compete in many tournaments.
In 2006 we fished in the Florida
East Coast Division IFA Redfish
tournaments and many local
amateur events in which my
teammate and I placed in the top 5.
I specialize my fishing on what’s
biting, I will never lie to a potential
client for the sake of getting a trip.
If you call me I will give you a true
expectation of what you can expect
on or trip. If you expect to chase
snook after a cold freeze, well…
I will tell you your odds.
If you want to go have a memorable day on
the water fishing like we are old friends or bring
your family out to have a no pressure experience
on the local waters with a knowledgeable,
respectful, southern hospitality guide then
please call me.
I’m looking forward to planning a day
on the water with you.
