Capt. Derick was born in Hialeah, Fl. and spent all his summers in Puerto Rico as a kid where his addiction for fishing began. Soon after moving to Tampa Bay he was introduced to kayak fishing and has not stopped since. His passion for fishing lead him to guiding where he can share that passion with others. In addition to guiding, he also spends his time writing reports and articles for several online resources.
